Christmas at CBC Prep

While Christmas celebrations at the Prep School were a little different to normal this year, the boys still got into the festive spirit over the month of December.

  • Boys in 5th and 6th Class continued the tradition of donating books and Selection Boxes to our friends in CBS Sexton Street. Although the boys from Limerick could not visit this year, we were delighted to maintain our link with the school and look forward to welcoming them back to CBC again soon.
  • Our annual Christmas Food Appeal was a great success with lots of food donated to Cork Penny Dinners.
  • We held a no-homework day in aid of the Make A Wish Foundation in memory of Beibhinn O’ Connor.
  • A non-uniform day was and a Christmas Jumper day was held this month to raise funds for the CUH Charity and the Surgeon Noonan Society.
  • All classes enjoyed a virtual panto “Cindarella” on Monday 21st December.
  • At 7pm on 21st December, the Christmas concert was aired virtually. Parents and students tuned in from home to watch the pre recorded performances.

A sincere thank you to all families for their cooperation with the new procedures that have been put in place this term to ensure our students remained safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy Christmas and look forward to welcoming you all back to the Preparatory School in January.
