Fifth Class held a First Aid Workshop today.
Our thanks to Pat Lowry for facilitating the Workshop.
The boys learned about how to make an emergency call and also were shown how to administer CPR. Pat had brought a number of mannequins for the students to practice their skills and was a very enjoyable and worthwhile Workshop. He also showed the Class the large amount of equipment the Emergency Services needed when travelling to an incident.
Our October Mid Term Rugby Camp is back for 2015!!
There has been a great response in recent years to this Rugby Camp.
The Camp is open to all boys in the Preparatory School and they are more than welcome to bring a friend.
Cost is €52 for three days or €20 per day. Applications must be made via the Easy Payments Plus section of our Website.
The Camp runs from October 27/28/29 from 10am to 2pm.
Boys from the School were involved in a Mini Sevens Blitz on Friday, September 25.
The boys played very well in their games against Cork Educate Together, Riverstown and Glenville.
Well done to Glenville on winning through to the next stage and to Riverstown who were fantastic hosts.
The Preparatory School have been very active in Sciath na Scol competitions over the past number of years.
This time of year is dedicated to Gaelic Football and the team have played three matches to date against Carrigaline, Spriorad Naomh and St Joseph’s, The Mardyke. Unfortunately, results haven’t been kind, but the boys continue to improve their skills with each game.

A great day at our Sports Complex at Lansdowne. The School hosted Munster v Ulster in U18 Schools and U18 Clubs games.
There were a number of CBC students involved with the Munster U18 Schools teams. Glad to say that both Munster teams won on the day.
1st and 2nd Classes were involved in a Mini Game at Half Time in the Clubs’ game, while 3rd and 4th Classes had their opportunity at Half Time during the Schools’ game. The Classes also provided a guard of honour for both games.
